T'was the Night Before Hanukkah
This book reminds the reader of the importance of the positionality of the writer and the intended audience. Written by Rod Oneglia, T'was the Night Before Hanukkah parodies the author’s Jewish American upbringing, the traditions he enjoys with his family, as well as the squabbles he often finds himself in. Oneglia continuously makes light of the fact that he does not follow the rhyming scheme, joking that the unexpected arrival of Hyman Hanukkah threw him off his rhythm.
