Diwali is a Hindu and Sikh holiday that falls either in October or November, depending on the lunar calendar. Also called the Festival of Lights, it is a time to clean the house and celebrate prosperity, knowledge, and Good defeating Evil. This book introduces the reader to some traditions and meals connected to Diwali, and provides information about different types of dress that Hindus and Sikhs often wear during holidays.
